SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR AUTUMN FALL WREATH:
hot glue gun ( every crafter's necessity)
grapevine wreath
gorgeous wired ribbon
fall picks of your choice
two birds
feather picks
wire cutters

Every beautiful Autumn fall wreath starts with gorgeous ribbon. Don't scrimp on this! Choose beautiful, detailed, wired ribbon. It is important to choose wired ribbon, because if the ribbon gets smashed from storing your wreath, it is easy to reshape the ribbon.I like to choose two different colors ribbon, and mix the two together for a more colorful affect. Now, if you are not a good bow maker, ask the florist at the craft store to make it for you.
Step One:
Wrap both ribbons around the wreath. Tuck the ribbon in and out of the grapevine. You can use a little hot glue where necessary, but use it sparingly as it will show through the ribbon.
Step Two:
Start placing your floral picks around the wreath. What makes a wreath look really professionally done, is choosing picks that aren't just a clump of greenery. Choose picks that seem to be really spread out and airy. Once placed on the grapevine, they will hang over the sides, and really add a more natural design.

Step Three:
At the bottom of the wreath, this is where you will make a focal point using the little birds. Glue the birds on the wreath, and then build around them with the picks and feathers. Don't be afraid to pull the picks apart, and use a piece or two instead of the whole pick. The key is to make the wreath flow naturally, and not have the look of clumps of picks just stuck around.Hold your wreath up every once in a while, and see how it looks. Make sure it looks even all the way around.

After you have finished putting everything around the wreath, hot glue gun your bow on the top. You can also add a little fall sign onto the wreath.
Get creative: use little pine cones from your yard or add a little bird nest from the craft store. Have fun with this project! Your neighbors will be so envious when they see your gorgeous wreath! Especially when you tell them you made it yourself!!!
Here are some more fall wreath ideas.

I love this pinecone wreath. If you would like to make this wreath or one similar, you want to start with a straw wreath instead of a grapevine wreath.
Most craft stores sell pinecones in bags, as well as plastic fruit. If you wanted to make this wreath for your front door, I would definitely choose plastic fruit instead of dried fruit.
You're going to need a lot of hot glue for this project. Be careful, there is nothing like a hot glue gun burn. I know first-hand.

What I love about this wreath are the pheasant feathers. They are beautiful! You don't have to put fall decorations all the way around the wreath. Attach the flowers first, and then glue the long feathers in last.
No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace
As I have seen in one autumnal face.
