Hi Jenifer,
First I wanted to say that I really enjoy your site. It is definitely addicting! I have a new question. I plan on replacing my current rectangular dining room table with another table in a round shape. I have a rectangular area rug that is fairly new. Does it matter about the shape of the rug?
Thanks
Cindy

Hello Cindy,
Thank you for stopping by Decorating Ideas Made Easy. I'm glad you like it! I think as far as the shape of your rug under a round table, that you could go either way! Below, I have included some photos to show both a round rug and a rectangular rug under a round dining room table.
The key is to make sure the rug is large enough to accommodate for your dining room chairs. You want to have a rug large enough that when you are seated at the table the chair is still on the rug.
Hope these ideas helped. Have a wonderful day, and please stop by again.
