Decorating a Stage for a Folk Music Festival

Hi Jennifer,

We are hosting a folk festival on May 4th & 5th. Theme is, well, folksy. I'm coming to you for some ideas as to decorating across the front of the stage platform.

I bought a 6" wide roll of standard colored burlap and some silk 3" & 4" in diameter daisies (just the heads) thinking I could decorate across the front of the stage. Our main stage is maybe 10' W x 25' L and is raised maybe 18" off the ground. It is all wood. It is inside a large tent.

I'm attaching a photo. It would be great to get your help.

Thanks so much,
D.B.

Hello,

I love the idea of burlap and daisies. I think a colored burlap banner would look great. You could stencil the name of the festival. Use a bright color like red so that it will pop off of the natural colored burlap.

I would purchase some raffia and tie bows in between each letter. Then hot glue the daisies in the middle of the raffia bows. I would even add yellow sunflowers with the daisies.

Good luck with your festival, and thanks for stopping by. Don't be a stranger.
