Are you looking for a unique Halloween yard decoration? Well, I have a few to share with you! I have been working on these for awhile, and I am so excited to show them to you!
I have trouble finding Halloween yard decorations that I really like. So, I put my thinking cap on and came up with a design. I went and found my handyman husband and presented him with yet another "honey, can you please make this for me?" request.

Here is a step-by-step photo tutorial on how to make this outside Halloween decoration.

This book was made out of plywood and 1x2 boards. The construction is fairly easy. To give the book character I added gate hinges. The outside was painted black, and the "pages" of the book were painted white and then antiqued with acrylic antiquing gel. A black permanent marker was used to draw lines up and down to imitate pages.

I painted the letters with florescent spray paint from the home improvement store. A simple blacklight bulb made this Halloween decoration stand out! It sits at my door and greets everyone as they enter!

If you are looking for cheap Halloween decorations, this little ghost is perfect! It is easy and cheap to make! All you need to make this little guy is a $3 metal tomato stand, Styrofoam ball, white tulle, old sheet, ribbon, and self-adhesive felt!

Place your Styrofoam ball on top of your metal tomato stand. Make sure all three prongs stick into the Styrofoam. Shove your ball down until it is secure.

I used floral picks to secure my tomato stand into the ground. If you don't have floral picks, you can use a wire hanger. Use wire cutters to trim your hanger pieces 4"-5" long. Then bend them into a "U" shape, and hammer into the ground.

Place a sheet over the Styrofoam ball and stand. Roll the excess sheet under.

Cut out the ghost eyes from your self-adhesive black felt. Place them on the ghost pressing firmly. Next, place a few layers of your tulle over the sheet. Tuck the excess under, like you did for the sheet. Take some black satin ribbon and tie a bow. Not only does the bow look great, it will also keep the tulle and sheet it place!

I'm sure my birds are mad at me, but I thought decorating a bird bath would be really pretty. To copy this look, just purchase a twig wreath, and an outdoor plastic pumpkin.

You can add pine-cones, berries, and flowers that nestle your pumpkin in beautifully.

For another cheap Halloween decorating idea, use purple and black mesh ribbon and tie large bows on your garage lights! This Halloween yard decoration is inexpensive and looks fantastic from the street! Mesh ribbon is really easy to work with! Anyone can make a big full bow!

Find unique yard signs to decorate your yard. Place one near your front door to greet your visitors. I purchased black satin ribbon and tied a bow on my sign to give it a little "something".
