Help with a front entryway.

Hi Jennifer,
I am so glad I found your site. My issue is that I am totally stumped with what to do with my outside entryway. As you can see, it's a relatively small area that's in need of a little help.

With the weather breaking and having other work done to the house, I wanted to spruce up the entryway as well... it needs it. My style is modern and contemporary and I'm usually pretty good with decorating. My outside entryway, however, has me stumped.

Any suggestions you could offer would be appreciated. I've attached a picture.

Your front entrance is beautiful. The glass around your doorway really adds character.

The pots you have there now are too small, and too short. I would also stay symmetrical and put a container on each side of your door.

A taller container, with a boxwood topiary would look great. It would give even more height to your entryway.

I have attached a photo for an example. Given that your style is contemporary, a tall narrow boxwood would look great also.

Also, another suggestion would be to replace your light fixtures with larger ones. Keep your topiary containers and your light fixtures the same finish. Keeping things uniform creates a polished look!

Good luck with your project!
